Classification of defects resulting from Additive Manufacturing processes by Convolutional Neural Network:

• Sample acquisition through a Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process.
• Analyzing the samples using microscopy.
• developed a convolutional neural network (CNN) using TensorFlow to classify defects resulting from AM processes. The CNN was trained on a large dataset of images of AM parts with defects. The CNN was able to accurately classify defects with a high degree of accuracy.
